Rampage wins 6-5!!
West Grey Rampage Novice 1 team opens the season 1-1   On May 14th the Elmira Pet Products Novice 1 Rampage made the trek to the Royal City to take on the Guelph Regals to open their inaugural season.

After a short feeling out process the game pace started to pick up with teams trading scoring chances back and forth.  The Regals took advantage of their early opportunities and jumped out to an 2-0 lead.  After regrouping between periods the Rampage found their legs and started to tilt the floor towards the solid Guelph team.  3 straight goals from the Rampage put them in an unfamiliar situation as they found themselves holding a 3-2 lead into the 3rd period.  Guelph's experience showed in the final period as they repeatedly found a way to put the ball towards the Rampage net.  The Regals scored 3 straight goals to take back control of the game with a 5-3 win.

On May 16th the Elmira Pet Products Novice 1 Rampage held their home opener versus the Arthur Aces at the Durham Arena.  The boys charged onto the floor ready to play after being pumped up by Coach Bak.  After player introductions and an exceptional version of O'Canada the Rampage were ready to put on a show for their home fans.  The Aces came out strong and caught the Rampage on their heels towards the start of the period scoring the first 2 goals which could have been more, if not for the timely saves of Cash Murdoch who held the fort until the Rampage found their offence.  Adam Henderson opened the scoring for the Rampage who would not stop at one.  Chase Brown and Joel Bak also found the back of the net and the Rampage found themselves ahead 3-2 at the end of the first.  During the second period the scoring settled down as the teams followed the defensive instructions of both coaching staffs.  Liam Aitken who was dangerous all game scored for the Rampage who found themselves tied at four, after the Aces responded with two of their own.  The third period did not disappoint the home crowd as Adam Henderson with his second and Caleb Brown with the game winner rounded out the scoring, as the Rampage ran out the clock for their first victory of the season 6-5.    Great job boys and keep up the hard work.
