Rampage off to a great start to the season
The 2022 lacrosse season is up and running and the U15 West Grey Rampage are off to a great start with a 3-1-1 record in their first five games.

The first game of the season was a road game in Elora against the Centre Wellington Mohawks.  After being tied 2-2 midway through the second period, the Mohawks pulled away for a 7-3 win.  Landon Boulton led the scoring with two goals and Wyatt Wettlaufer added the other.

The Rampage won both games at the North Perth fun day, a convincing 8-0 win over the North Perth Outlaws followed up by a tight 3-2 win over the Stayner Hitmen.  Kohen Matthews had the hat trick in game one, with Jack Farley chipping in with two goals and Luke McCarey, Adam Henderson and Landon Boulton each scoring one.  Dakota Bartley was exceptional in net with the shutout.  Boulton, Matthews and Farley each scored in the game two win.

Another road game, this time against the rival Arthur Aces ended up in a 3-3 draw.  Arthur tied it up late in the third period after Landon Boulton scored earlier in the period to give the Rampage the lead.  Brett Becker was solid in net and Adam Henderson and Luke McCarey also scored.

Finally, in their first home game of the season, the Rampage routed the North Perth outlaws 9-1 in front of a large crowd at the Durham Community Centre.  The Rampage jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one period and poured it on in the third period scoring four more.  Quick ball movement and physical defense was the key to a great team win.  Adam Henderson led the way with four goals, Kohen Matthews had two and Landon Boulton, Kolby Reay, Jordan O’Brien each added one to round out the scoring.
