The U15 Rampage participated in the Stayner Hitmen
Spring Showdown and came away with an impressive 2-1 record on the
weekend. The tournament started in
Creemore against a strong Pelham team.
The Rampage were on their heels early, trailing 5-1 after the first
period with Landon Boulton scoring the only goal. Blake Howes scored on a breakaway in the
second period and Ryan Farlow chipped in a goal in the third but Pelham
finished with a 10-3 win.
The Rampage regrouped and dominated the second game against Nepean in Styaner later that day. After giving up a quick goal 19 seconds into the game, West Grey controlled play the rest of the way and won 5-1. Landon Boulton had a natural hat trick and then Ryan Farlow and Kolby Reay finished off the scoring in an impressive win.
The third game of the tournament was against a Centre Wellington team who beat West Grey 7-3 earlier in the season. This time was a different story as the Rampage dominated the game leading 5-0 early in the third period and holding on for a 5-2 win. Adam Henderson and Jack Farley each scored two goals, and Landon Boulton added the other. Unfortunately, with 2 wins and 1 loss, the Rampage just missed out on the final but the team as a whole showed much improvement over the course of the weekend. Great job!
