2021 Season Recap - Bring on 2022!
Return to Play for Rampage was a success!!  The season was short but sweet.  The West Grey Minor Lacrosse Rampage offered 7 weeks of Try Lacrosse and had 160 participants.  With restrictions starting to ease we were able to return to 3 weeks of indoor play in the Durham arena with 123 players hitting the floor.

Everyone was happy to get back to lacrosse which is still spreading like fire as the new sport in town bringing players together.  We were grateful for the support of the Lions Club, West Grey Municipality and many other local businesses.

The excitement really grew at the end of August when the Owen Sound, North Stars and Orangeville, Northmen Jr B teams came to meet in the middle for an action-packed match in Durham.  The first period saw lots of excitement with the score ending very close.  The U11 (Novices) took to the floor for a mini match to show off their skills and potential to play in the big leagues someday too.  When the second period resumed the heat and humidity got to be too much and the floor wasn’t safe to play on anymore.  So, to end the game it was decided for one-on-one action on the goalies in a whole team shoot out. The Rampage community showed a lot of support for lacrosse by filling the arena to restricted capacity.

Plans are already under way for next season with lots of potential, especially with the gracious support of Jumpstart with a donation of $10,000 to our league to help with start up costs and continue to help us grow and keep up with the demand.  Thank you to Canadian Tire and the Jump Start program!!

We are in search of coaches to help support this amazing sport within our community! If you are interested, please contact Corey Reay by emailing him at [email protected]. No experience necessary!
