West Grey Rampage U13 Tier 1 played their home opener on May 2 against the Guelph Regals.
Guelph came out strong and took an early 2-0 lead. Gavin Johns cut the lead in half with the opening Rampage goal. The Regals answered back to go ahead again by two. The first period ended with each team notching another goal; Bentley Dietz scoring for West Grey. A trio of goals came for Guelph, with Beckett Koebel netting his first of the game. The second period ended with the Regals ahead 6 to 3. That would be the end of West Greys offence. Guelph took the game by the horns and added six more goals to the tally. Goalie Tatum Roberts stood tall between the pipes facing 34 shots. West Grey Rampage fell 12 to 3 to the Guelph Regals.
